Martin Kaymer is a German professional golfer. He turned professional at age 20 in 2005 and is a member of the European Tour. He is a winner of two major championships: the 2010 PGA Championship and the 2011 WGC-HSBC Champions. He has 11 European Tour titles, including the 2010 US PGA Championship, 2011 WGC-HSBC Champions and 2014 U.S Open.

Kaymer achieved his first major victory at the 2010 PGA Championship, which he won over Bubba Watson in a 3-hole playoff. That same year, he was also awarded the European Tour’s Harry Vardon Trophy for winning the Race to Dubai. He also won the 2011 WGC-HSBC Champions.

He turned professional in 2005 and won five times in 14 starts in 2006 on the EPD Tour, shooting 59 in one event, before finishing fourth in the 2006 Challenge Tour Rankings after playing just eight events and winning two. He won the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year Award on his maiden season on the top tier in 2007 and the 2010 Race to Dubai after a season featuring four victories.

He was the No. 1 ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking in 2011 and has played a key role in four Ryder Cup appearances, holing the winning putt to seal the Miracle at Medinah in 2012.

In May 2014, Kaymer won The Players Championship, the flagship event of the PGA Tour. In June, he led each round of the 2014 U.S. Open and won his second major by eight strokes.
